Astrid Lipinsky is university assistant at the Department of East Asian Studies/Sinology, Universität Wien, and managing director of the Vienna Center for Taiwan Studies.

 

The talk is about the representation of the children in bi-national marriages in youth books written by Taiwanese authors. Bi-national children are often discriminated against by teachers and fellow students. The applicability of the book against the prejudices is assessed.
