What Does Queer Theory Teach Us About Time?

A Lecture by Dr. Sam McBean

Hörsaal 1, Hauptgebäude Universität Wien
Universitätsstraße 1, 1010 Wien

Lecture

Taking the critical concept of queer temporalities -- investigated by scholars such as Elizabeth Friedmann (Time Binds: Queer Temporalities, Queer Histories, Duke UP 2010) and Jack Halberstam (In a Queer Time and Place: Transgender Bodies, Subcultural Lives, New York UP 2005) -- as a starting point, this lecture asks how queer theory relates to questions of temporality and how we can explore the intricacies of this complex relationship.
