Rather than being cases for someone else's theory work, many projects of ethnography today operate as the exploration of concepts and analytics accomplished by circulations and collaborations within a design of multi-sited fieldwork enclosed by staged receptions for it's evolving ideas. Theory is thus most relevant to framing and posing a set of questions relevant to an ethnography's diverse field of inquiry. This yields at best collaboratively produced and situated diagnoses of contemporary conditions.
