The workshop is embedded into the activities of the Special Research Program F65. This is a consortile venture, currently joining eleven applied-PDE groups at the University of Vienna, the Vienna University of Technology, and the Institute of Science and Technology (IST) Austria. The aim of the workshop is that of connecting with key researchers in the areas relevant to the SFB program, while offering an overview of the state of the art. In particular, modeling and analysis for PDE systems will come into focus, with emphasis on variational and entropic structures and structure-preserving approximations.
