1: Nominal categories; Typological profile of the Ugric languages 2: Verbal and syntactic categories

 

After a general introduction to the morphosyntactic profile of the Ugric languages, the lecture will focus on some lesser-studied features of Surgut Khanty including ditransitive constructions and transitivity changing operations. The properties discussed in this lecture are based on the Typological Database of the Ugric Languages (UTDB).
