To mark the release of VDTR doctoral candidate and United Methodist pastor Reverend J.J. Warren's new book, we invite a range of people to reflect on the challenges and opportunities that a global pandemic presents for church life today. While JJ will address questions of building community online and present his own experiences and those of his interview partners, the panel discussion with invited guests - Noreen van Elk, Katharina Payk, Jonas Simmerlein and Gregor Steininger - will focus on how church communities can be inclusive across the digital divide by including different perspectives - such as gender and disability - in the conversation. The event marks the start of a new presentation format that aims to put our doctoral students' publications in the spotlight they deserve. The event will be held mainly in English.
