and critical engagements.

Abstract

Innovation has become a matter of concern which runs through many policy documents, industrial strategies, university missions, public statements and corporate communications. But when it comes to dealing with socio-technical change, is innovation part of the solution or of the problem? And what does this suggest for the relationship between STS and neighbouring fields, especially Innovation Studies? In this presentation, I will reflect upon STS’s contribution to the study of innovation, but also look ahead to some future possibilities.
