The Fifteenth Biennial Congress of the International Society for the History of Philosophy of Science will be held at the University of Vienna - Department of Philosophy, "New Institute Building" (Neues Institutsgebäude, NIG) from July 09-12, 2024.

 

The conference is organized and hosted by University of Vienna - Department of Philosophy. Main sponsors and supporters of HOPOS2024 are The International Society for the History of Philosophy of Science, Department of Philosophy, Institute Vienna Circle, and the Vienna Circle -Society for the Advancement of the Scientific World Conception.

All congress participants (speakers and attendees) are required to be a member of HOPOS. In order to become a member of HOPOS or to renew your membership, please follow the instructions here. (Membership dues are paid directly to HOPOS and allow the Society to offer travel grants for our congresses, cover the society’s conference expenses, and provide subscriptions to our journal).

Registration fees are paid directly to the Local Organizers of our congresses and are used to cover the rental of conference rooms and AV equipment, refreshments, and other expenses related to hosting the congress.)

 

HOPOS offers two-year memberships, which include a subscription to the HOPOS Journal during the period of membership. The Society's current membership rates will stay in effect through 31 August 2024, and are as follows:

 

Two-Year Membership with Electronic-Only Subscription to the HOPOS Journal:

- Non-Student: $160 USD

- Student: $75 USD

 

Two-Year Membership with Print & Electronic Subscription to the HOPOS Journal:

- Non-Student: $195 USD

- Student: $110 USD
