Information Event

Master of Arts in:

Institut für Wissenschafts- und Technikforschung
Universitätsstraße 7 / II / 6. Stock, 1010 Wien

Are you interested in doing a master’s degree on the relations of science, technology and society? Then you are warmly invited to take part in the information event on "Science-Technology-Society".

Scientific and technological developments play a crucial role in how we live in modern societies, and in how we imagine societal futures. At the same time, social values, political agendas or economic logics influence how scientific research is conducted and technological artifacts are designed. Science, technology and society are hence inextricably interrelated. This constitutes the object of research of the field of Science and Technology Studies (STS).

Every year our department organizes a couple of evenings to give information to those who are interested in applying for the STS master program. The first one of this academic year will be held on

Tuesday, 19th of Januray, 18:30 through Zoom.

During the event our program director Maximilian Fochler will present what it is like to study STS at our department, and afterwards a Teaching Assistant is available to answer any type of question about living and studying in Vienna.

Please find below the details for the meeting. You are very welcome to forward the details of the Zoom meeting to people in your environment who might be interested in joining.
