England in the 1910s. Three stories. Three fates decided by the choice between kindness and greed.
Karma is coming for Monsieur Malateste, who mistreated his first wife and now seems trapped with his new unkind wife. The three Social Virgins try to bend society's rules and speak out for their freedom. And Frere and Soeur are caught in a struggle between love and fear.
The performance marks the first collaboration between an Anglistik university course and the Student's Acting Shakespeare Society. It is also the first time, that Margret Cavendish's 1662 play is performed in Austria.
The play will be performed in its original form and language. Admission is free of charge and we offer free choice of seating.
