The BuddySystem Project - Conference in Vienna

This event will include panel discussions with experts from the fields and hands-on sessions that will cover the following topics: Internationalisation at Home; Arrival and integration of international students into their local community.

THE PROJECT
The Buddy System is an online platform matching international students and local students for a buddy programme. The platform is developed centrally and provides management access to local stakeholders responsible for organising the arrival and integration of international students.
The Buddy System is an Erasmus+ project led by ESN France and project partners are the University of Vienna, the University of Eastern Finland, the University of Hertfordshire, the European University Foundation as well as the Erasmus Student Network International.

THE CONFERENCE
The Buddy programme experience conference takes place under the aegis of the Buddy System project, which paves the way for stronger collaboration between student organisations and higher education institutions and an enhanced buddy programme to match international and local students.
During the event a pool of experts from the University of Vienna, ESN France and the European University Foundation will give you the opportunity to learn more about buddy programmes and what it entails for university staff members as well as for student organisation volunteers.
Student peer-to-peer programmes that support the arrival and the integration of international students can be considered a strategic pillar for universities and student organisations that would like to develop internationalisation at home, personalised guidance and improve the quality of their mobility scheme.
The event will allow participants to network and share their experience!
