"Ion channels and transporters as molecular drug targets" (MolTag) is an ongoing PhD/doctoral program in pharmaceutical sciences established at four institutions: The University of Vienna, the Medical University of Vienna, the Vienna University of Technology and the Institute of Science and Technology Austria at Klosterneuburg.
MolTag offers a broad three-year PhD education in pharmaceutical sciences including specialized field courses such as molecular pharmacology, pharmacoinformatics, structure-function analysis of target molecules, molecular genetics, biophysics, imaging and advanced synthetic chemistry.
The graduate program has initially started in 2011, funded by the Austrian Science Fund (FWF). After successful evaluation by an international jury, we are proud to announce the continuation of funding for another 4-year period.
