"Tibetan Vajray?na"

Ein Vortrag von Khenpo Sodargye Rinpoche (in tibetischer Sprache mit Dolmetsch)

Aula Aula am Campus, AAKH
Spitalgasse 2, Hof 1.11, 1090 Wien

Later Indian sources incorporated Tantric Buddhism, often referred to as Vajray?na, in existing classification schemes of the Buddhist doctrine. By its adherents it is considered as a form of Mah?y?na Buddhism, and is distinguished from the 'non-tantric Mah?y?na' of the P?ramit?y?na through its distinctive theory and forms of practice.

Khenpo Sodargye's presentation addresses the position of Tantric traditions within Tibetan Buddhism and will focus on aspects of transmission, specific forms of practice and their theoretical concepts, and the role of the spiritual guide.

Khenpo Sodargye was born in Khams (Eastern Tibet). In 1985 he was ordained at the Larung Gar Five Sciences Buddhist Academy, one of the largest Tibetan Buddhist institutes founded in 1980 by Khenpo Sodargye's teacher Khenchen Jigme Phuntsok Rinpoche. After Khenpo Sodargye had finished his religious academic education at this institute, he was eventually placed in charge of the Five Sciences Buddhist Academy where he became one of the principal teachers. Khenpo Sodargye has lectured extensively on Tibetan Buddhism across Asia, as well as Europe and North America.
