The subject of this conference is film and
fascism, focussing specifically on the neglected
fascist movements while also taking into
account the supranational influences of Italian
Fascism and German National Socialism.
A comparative approach is used to uncover
the osmosis of artistic processes between
the different nations, thus allowing for new
insights concerning the structure, contents
and functions of propaganda activities with
special regard to their respective geographic
locations.
Special attention is given to the reciprocal
exertion of influence also taking into account
narrative structures as well as the circulation
of images and the underlying motifs.
