Diskussion, Round Table

On April 27, 1900, the British physicist and president of the Britain’s Royal Society Lord Kelvin gave a speech in which he proclaimed that except for “two clouds on the horizon”, there were no more fundamental discoveries to be made in physics and “the future truths of physical science are to be looked for in the sixth place of decimals”. The “clouds” turned out to be the hints to the two greatest theories of the 20th Century physics, quantum theory and relativity theory.
