The primary global challenge of the 21st century is the climate crisis,

with ecological, societal, and political ramifications felt worldwide.

Since 2019, youth, notably through Fridays for Future, have been

leading calls to address climate change and mobilizing for greater

climate justice. These movements, now pivotal in global

environmental politics, remain understudied in their global scope. A

research project across Austria, Bangladesh, and Uganda aims to

bridge this gap, examining youth activism's motivations, political

demands, and intersectional dynamics. By collaborating closely with

local researchers, the project seeks to shed light on the unique

challenges, strategies, and contexts shaping youth activism in pursuit

of ecological transformation.
