"Campi Flegrei super-volcano: structure and dynamics for hazard assessment at volcanic field"

Campi Flegrei consists of the most active super-volcano in Europe with a 10 km caldera formed by two main eruptions ~39 000 and ~14 000 years ago. The caldera is characterized to be located in a densely populated area with of about 350 000 people. Since 2022, the caldera is characterized by a seismic crisis with more than 8000 earthquakes, a maximum magnitude of 4.4, and an elevation of the ground of about 50 cm reflecting the volcanic dynamics. It indicates the high risk and potential damage associated with a new eruption and the need to understand the volcanic structure and its dynamic to improve the volcanic hazard assessment.
