Der Workshop "Locating Plants: Philosophy and Literature" widmet sich dem Status der Pflanzen in Philosophie und Literatur und fragt nach deren Bedeutung für die Theoriebildung. Zur Diskussion stehen pflanzenspezifische Orte wie die Erde, der Garten und die Mitte, wobei ein besonderes Augenmerk auf den unterschiedlichen Maßstäben des Pflanzlichen von Planetarischen zum unendlich Kleinen liegt. Ziel ist es, die Mensch-Pflanzen-Beziehungen im Anthropozän neu auszumessen.
Hosts: Eva Horn (Vienna Anthropocene Network) und Isabel Kranz (Internationales Forschungszentrum Kulturwissenschaften/Kunstuniversität Linz in Wien, IFK)
The workshop will be held in English. Three international guest speakers will discuss the role of plants for our understanding of human-nature relations in the Anthropocene.
