On the occasion of International Women’s Day we celebrate female scientists with a film screening and two panel discussions, one with Canadian and one with Austrian scientists. With this event we want to raise awareness of the on-going transformation of scientific work environments across gender and examine the opportunities young female scientists have today.

 

The Austrian panel will be streamed live and a recording will be made available afterwards. The panel consists of:

Barbara Fischer (Elise-Richter Fellow, Theoretical Biology, University of Vienna)

Sabine Grenz (Prof., Gender Studies, University of Vienna)

Christa Schleper (Prof., Biology, University of Vienna)

Barbara Schober (Prof., Psychology and Education, University of Vienna)

Lena Vogelmann (Gender Equality and Diversity, University of Vienna)

 

Moderator: Lena Yadlapalli (Communications and Media, Faculty of Chemistry, University of Vienna)
