The analytical technologies for the evaluation of find materials show a rapid development over the last decades, offering a broad field for innovative research and for various interpretations of archaeological find materials. The trans-disciplinary cooperation of historical, archaeological, natural-science and digital disciplines yield new areas for research and fresh perspectives towards historical processes.
The focus of the workshop are the various methods of analysis, applied for inorganic materials, such as ceramics (faience and glass), stone and earth materials or various kind of metals. Various methods shall be illustrated by case studies, also to demonstrate the usability of the methodologies.
