Global and interdisciplinary collaboration in research requires us to consider and explore the potential of cutting-edge research practices, methodological approaches, and innovative theories not only for the humanities in general but also for Celtic Studiesto advance the field. Developments in information and communication technology and philosophy of science as well as new approaches in science communication and public relations have sparked off both professional and public debates on the benefit and value of humanities research.

The symposium aims to provide an arena to discuss recent developments in other disciplines and conceptual changes and advances in Celtic Studies. Presentations are invited from all areas of Celtic Studies to reflect the broad spectrum of research exploring and implementing new perspectives as well as digital and technical aids. This includes discussions of theories and approaches from a variety of fields such as digital humanities, public science, open science, data mining, heritage studies, copyright, as well as innovative applications of novel interdisciplinary methods or established approaches.
