Vortrag
Type 2 Diabetes(T2D) is now a rising global health problem which is likely to overburden the healthcare system in Uganda. People with type 2 diabetes have 2-4 times higher risk of cardiovascular and renal complications, morbidity and mortality. Understanding the causes and modes of prevention is very important to delay type 2 diabetes progress and reduce the global burden of Non Communicable Diseases. For, kitchens are becoming global and there are changing lifestyles in the name of “development.” Diets reflect different food choices by gender and this has an impact on health. For us to know is that T2D is more than a health issue and requires concerted policy action across many sectors among the different stake holders.
