This workshop brings together writers, activists and academics from various countries and disciplines, including sociology, migration studies, psychology, media studies, political sciences, as well as literary and cultural studies. Focused on the Refugee Tales project by the Gatwick Detainees Welfare Group, it aims to explore the situation and (re)presentation of refugees from diverse angles and perspectives. The event features a keynote lecture by renowned British performance poet Patience Agbabi.

This workshop is organised in collaboration with the research platform SOLE ("The Stress of Life - Processes and Mechanisms underlying Everyday Life Stress") and the project "Poetry Off the Page" (FWF Austrian Science Fund).
