Spitalgasse 2, Hof 2, Eingang 2.3, 1090 Wien
"'What to do now?', that was the question I faced after finishing EcoS in September of 2015. Struggling to get into interviews I had decided to take the opportunity and gain some work experience in a country that I never thought of visiting or working in before. Giving this talk it has been almost one year since I settled into this interesting country."
Jörg Thiele will share his insights on his life in Myanmar, working for an international company that has a long-standing tradition in Southeast Asia. He will tell us on his application process, his first month as an intern and the experiences he made during the past twelve months. Moreover, he will share his thoughts on living in a developing country at time of high economic growth and democratic transition.
Following a 30 minute input talk there will be time for questions and answers. This is a unique chance to get first hand insights on a country that is globally perceived as a future economic center and tourist paradise. Plus, you will hear about life after EcoS and how the program helps to settle into various jobs.
Jörg Thiele has graduated from the University of Vienna's EcoS program in 2015. He moved to Myanmar in April 2016 where he is now the Business Development and Marketing Manager for JJ-Pun. JJ-Pun is a joint venture of Jebsen & Jessen SEA and the Serge Pun and Associates (SPA) group. Working together with renowned global technology partners like Philips, Grundfos, Toro, MHE-Demag, BASF, the company offers comprehensive solutions for hospitals and clinics, food producers, harbors and large industry facilities, golf courses and many more.
