Nitrogen heterocycles from (hetero)-substituted alkynes through hydroelementation reactions and pericyclic sequences
Alkynes and hetero-substituted alkynes are versatile building blocks that can be further advance to useful scaffolds via ionic-, pericyclic- or metal-catalyzed reactions. For the past few years, we have focused our studies on the synthesis of nitrogen-containing heterocycles from activated alkynes, being trifluoromethylated alkynes or ynamides. In this lecture, we will address the synthesis of valuable nitrogen-heterocycles using short reaction sequences, relying on hydroelementation reactions and pericyclic sequences.
