In the panel discussion the challenges, difficulties and rewards of teaching Australian Studies at the University will be addressed. Audience participation is welcome.

Panelists:

Margarete Rubik (University of Vienna)
Christa Knellwolf (Sultan Quaboos University, Oman)
Melissa Kennedy (University of Vienna)

The discussion will be followed by brief readings from modern literary texts chosen by the three panelists. The event is open to students, staff and the general public.

After the readings there will be an opportunity for socializing and networking over a glass of wine.

Teaching Australian Studies at the University is a joint event of the Austrian-Australian Society (ÖAG), the English Department and the University Library, English and American Studies Library. The event is supported by the Australian Embassy, Vienna.
